What to expect!

What is AMF, Mad Mike & MADMAC?

Held the week prior to the Australian Grand Prix, the Adelaide Motorsport Festival (AMF) is a museum in motion, displaying historic, rare and significant racing vehicles in the Adelaide Park Lands and beyond. The event is supported by the State Government of South Australia as an important part of the Malinauskas Labor Government’s Motorsport Policy.

Adelaide’s motorsport pedigree is unmatched, and the Adelaide Motorsport Festival brings together the cream of automotive history and heritage with the latest in go-fast tech, all in a picnic races setting around a section of the iconic Adelaide Grand Prix track. The Adelaide Motorsport Festival is a celebration of power, speed, courage and innovation for the whole family.

“MADMAC McLaren” is a custom 2024 drift car built by New Zealand professional drift driver Mad Mike Whiddett, a partnership with Lanzante and O’Gara Coach. It is a hybrid McLaren build combining a P1 GTR and a 650S GT3 that features a 1,000-horsepower, 20B rotary engine swap, a custom body kit, and an intricate suspension system designed for drifting, all built within 100 days at Mad Mike’s MADLAB in NZ. The car debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, celebrating both Mad Mike’s work and honoring his fellow New Zealander, Bruce McLaren, both Mad Mike and MADMAC will be at AMF in 2026 & you have your chance here to have your Rotary on display there too!

What is an EOI & Why?

EOI stands for Expression of Interest, this means exactly that; you are expressing your interest in having your ride on display within the event area.

Why? We are expecting a large response of EOI’s and will do our best to accommodate entries, the earlier you get it in, the best chance you have, as EOI’s may close without notice.

The $10 per day EOI cost is a Admin fee & is not refundable.

You will find your EOI Entry process at the bottom of this page, simply scroll down!

EOI in 2 steps!

If i get a EOI confirmation email, do i then pay for my car display?
  1. Once you have submitted your details below, you will pay $10 per day Admin fee for your EOI – Expression of Interest & receive an email that says we received it + a copy of the information you sent, this is not an acceptance to have your car inside the event area.
  2. Later, (Late Jan/early Feb) if you receive an email or SMS from HPCREW saying that your EOI has been confirmed, you will then pay $50 per day for your event space Display by a secret link, plus any options; and bring your ride to the event to display, this will allow 2 people total (inc. Driver) for the day(s) selected. (This is around half price, as its usually $50 per person per day to walk in!)

if EOI NOT Confirmed

What if i get an email saying there wasn't enough room for my ride?

Your ride EOI will be added to a cancellation list for the display, so you may be in luck-so get your EOI in early!

Note: $10 per day EOI Admin fee is non-refundable
